International Summer Music Academy: Learn to Play Violin or Cello

Is this the summer your child begins their musical journey? The International Summer Music Academy: Learn to Play Violin or Cello introduces young musicians ages 4-10 to the joy of playing a string instrument in a warm, supportive environment.

Designed specifically for beginners, this two-week summer program focuses on building foundational technique, musical curiosity, and confidence through engaging, age-appropriate instruction. With guidance from experienced faculty, students explore the basics of violin or cello in small groups while developing listening skills, coordination, and early musical expression.

No prior experience is required. Instruments and learning materials are provided, allowing students to focus fully on discovering the excitement of making music for the first time.

The program runs June 15–26 as a half-day camp, offering young learners a joyful introduction to what could become a lifelong love of music.
